Description:AscendTek, a telecommunications company, is seeking motivated, skilled individuals to enter our tower technician training class. [Entry level applicants must live in WI, IL, IN or MI to be considered]Entry level: $15/hour paid during training class, $20/hour upon completion of trainingThis is a traveling position.Entry level class is in Stevens Point, WI.REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel in market
• Experience working at heights, with hand tools, construction and working outdoors
• Ability to acquire required certificiations
• Ability to perform tower rescues
• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Desire for full-time, long term W-2 employmentResponsibilities:
  • Follow all state and federal safety regulations while working in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Required to work at heights, up to 600 feet, installing telecom equipment/materials on towers and various other tasks.
  • Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.
  • Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, bend, assemble and erect all components necessary for lifting, moving and installing equipment, materials, lines, antennae
  • Interprets various documents (blueprints, diagrams, manufacturer specifications, etc.) to ensure proper installation of antenna systems using technical expertise and knowledge of blueprints and diagrams.COMPANY BENEFITS:
