an experienced 2nd-Shift Production Supervisor to help ensure our
screen printing and digital printing equipment is running
efficiently and most importantly producing quality products we can
be proud of.SUMMARY:A successful Production Shift Supervisor takes
full responsibility for the safety, quality, delivery, and labor
management on their shift through the proper management of people,
process, and equipment in the facility. This role will supervise
all screen printing and wide-format digital printing activities.JOB
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Please note the listed duties and

without notice.Inspects and approves all screen and digital press
set-ups and print products to verify conformance to specifications
dictated on job ticket and directs setup and adjustments of
equipment to achieve desired results.Continually monitors all press
operations including color reproduction, registration, and print
quality. This includes but is not limited to checking ink
densities, dot gain, adhesion, register, print position, overall
quality. Uses densitometers/spectrophotometers to ensure quality
standards are met.Meets with Production Managers and other
necessary parties to discuss any problems with densities, color,
adhesion, efficiency, and overall appearance on press.Makes note of
material that are either being removed from or added to inventory
and tagging the skid with proper identification.Performs activities
of workers supervised as needed.Coordinates daily production
management including work prioritization and equipment output
targets.Oversees daily shift labor management including overtime
schedules & cross-training on their respective shift.Actively
monitors and manages productivity levels, and material inventory
practices following the company guidelines.Act as the primary
escalation point for production and maintenance issues on their
shift, and communicate accordingly.Lead and maintain a safety
culture that exceeds company requirements in accident and injury
prevention frequency rates.Maintain all safety compliance and
reporting standards in accordance with company and OSHA
regulations.Assists Management/ HR in the completion of safety
training and all incident/accident/near-miss investigations.Support
the Production Manager and Plant Manager in implementing and
enforcing company policies and procedures uniformly and
fairly.Ensure that all employees know and understand company and
customer quality requirements and production standards.Actively
participates in continuous improvement projects and implementation
of projects on his/her shift.Liaise with internal departments to
assist in resolving customer service/quality issues and customer
escalations.Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in
good working order and are free of safety hazards.Ensure
housekeeping standards and regular plant safe work standards are
followed on their shift.Other responsibilities and tasks may be
assignedPEOPLE MANAGEMENTSets the standards for performance
assessment and feedback, effective communication promoting positive
morale, and supporting team effectiveness.Responsible for
maintaining good communications and consistent policy application
to employees on shift including positive counseling and coaching
when necessary.Assesses employee talent and performance
capabilities, including but not limited to issuing yearly
performance reviews and disciplinary actions, when
necessary.Promotes functional cross-training opportunities to drive
employee development and skill competency.Aids in making hiring
decisions which may include reviewing applications and interviewing
candidates.Understands and responds promptly to employee needs and
concerns.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:At least 1-year previous
progressive experience of supervising, motivating and leading
hourly employees in a manufacturing environment, preferably in
printing.Preference of knowledge in sheetfed screen printing is a
huge plus and candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience working in sheetfed digital wide-format and/or cutting
and bindery equipment is a plus.Must be IT literate, especially
with production management information systems, inventory, and
scheduling software.Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as
Word and Excel & email applications.Strong Communicator able to
motivate a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced environment.Strong
skills in work planning, scheduling and must have good judgment of

collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability
to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in
mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and
