investors.Edward Jones is looking for an Open Systems technical
consultant who will utilize technical skill and provide technical
leadership for team members by interacting with 3rd party vendors,
enhancing applications, software and tools and providing support to
our proprietary Branch Website Profile system and the FA, BOA, and
Branch Data gateway. Our systems are key to the success of the
Edward Jones Public Website and publicly used tools for prospects
and clients exploring Edward Jones. Solving complex issues and
collaborating with other areas to generate solutions and address
problems is key to the success of this position. In addition, this
Technical Lead will have responsibility for interaction and
innovation with our Cloud-Based Website Platform vendor and
external team of Drupal developers for the SaaS solution /
Cloud-based external Public Website.
What You'll Do:
Lead - Provide technical leadership
related to software development tools, methodologies, best
practices and standardsMentor - Provide guidance, training and
mentorship on the business impact of the systems supported
technical systems design, development of best practices, and
Technology processes and toolsPlan - Assist with defining and
meeting business requirements, preparing detailed software
specifications, and providing program or system level
estimatesDirect - Provide direction as to the effective use of
technology within the enterprise architectureInfluence -
Collaborate with Product Delivery Managers, Product Owners and/or
associates in a matrix organizationDesign - Perform lead analyst
role to design, code, test, debug, and maintain programsDevelop -
Modify and develop complex information systems involving most
phases of systems analysis and programmingImplement - Analyze,
design, code and document programs and enhancementsTest - Conduct
code walkthroughs to ensure programs meet the specified quality
standardsAdapt - Shift work between different environments and
multitaskMonitor - Provide system support including some on-call
pager supportResponsible for working on JIRA stories and tasks to
completion with each sprint, as part of an Agile delivery team that

such as Java, JEE, JSP, Spring, SpringBoot, Spring JPA, REST, JSON,
Junit, Javascript, Oracle, SQL, Python, Kubernetes, HTML, and XML
requiredAbility to work in both an agile team environment and as an
individual contributorPrevious experience as a tech lead mentoring
multiple junior developers
