In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients
and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building
deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St.
Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help
U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We
continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual
Hire, develop, and lead a team of Sourcing Analysts and Software
Compliance Managers. Sourcing Analysts are responsible for
providing analytical insights to firm initiatives which typically
involve third party relationships. Software Compliance Managers are
responsible for directing and managing the firm's software license
entitlements while being good stewards of the firm's resources.
Both teams support business areas across the firm.
Mentor, coach and assist associates
in complex business problems with external suppliersAbility to

Edward Jones and with suppliers to ensure the Sourcing Office is
being involved at the right time and at the right level.Ability to

As a financial institution, many issues are governed by regulation,
internal policies, procedures and guidelines which provide

This position has a high level of autonomy. Initiatives are
reviewed with colleagues and Sr. Leaders; however the Department
Leader is responsible for working directly and independently with
the business areas, or supporting their associates through
initiatives, in order to develop a strategic solution that
incorporates the business needs, while minimizing business risk.

Span of Influence:
This position has influence over supplier and product
recommendations which can impact the entire firm. The Department
Leader is seen as a subject matter expert and acts as a consultant
when business areas have needs around business case development,
negotiation strategy, and firm impacts. Business areas look to the
Sourcing group to provide sound advice and ask the difficult
questions to ensure the firm is making the correct decision. This
position will routinely come into contact with senior level
(c-suite) executives and legal representatives when dealing with
negotiation strategy and contract matters with the supplier.
Interact with and influence
associates, leaders, other firm's leaders, and suppliersImpacts the
firm's earnings on a daily basis through supplier
contractsQualifications Required in the Job:
Bachelor's degree required. Advanced
degree or Certification in Business, Accounting, Finance,
Economics, or Analytics, preferred. Minimum of 7+ years of related
work experience in financial, economic, or analytical role
preferred.Sourcing, Sourcing Analytics, and/or Software Compliance
experience is a plusA proficient level of understanding of
analytics required.Ability to communicate complex cost models,
risk, and business concepts at the executive levels throughout the
firm and with any given vendor Track record of leading high
performing teams Provides direction and leadership; creates strong
team environment and builds talent; able to lead and influence
others directly or indirectly.Process oriented; skilled in
establishing and executing plans; able to establish metrics and

this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on
skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a
