Quickly moving into other industries, we are a fast-paced and agile company looking for a best-in-class Solar Project Superintendent willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for building and growing a team. What you will do--- Plan, organize, and direct the work of the job crew employees (Foremen or Crew Leads) on a daily basis Ensure that all Foreman or Crew Lead responsibilities are being completed properly, on a regular basis Coordinate with Field Superintendents to discipline and counsel employees as needed, as well as motivate employees on a regular basis Assist the Field Superintendents in the training of employees as needed Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, and job folder contract scope Develop and submit 3 week Look Ahead on a weekly basis Track reported install quantities of your crews via time entry and or E&ID spread sheets Monitor reported install quantities VS budgetary installation goals, asses deficient performance and implement improvement plans throughout projects Attend coordination meetings as required and provide necessary information Monitor and document the progress of the job using appropriate forms listed, such as a Daily Progress Report Provide Leads with current and accurate information by generating RFI's, memos, and other forms of communication Monitor, direct, and improve as necessary the quantity of work performed by the crew Document all installations with QA/QC forms and submit forms to Project Managers as requested or at the end of each project Communicate company policies and procedures to the job crew Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes as needed Order daily materials as needed and follow up at the end of each workday Monitor and manage tool control for the job site Ensure the job site is properly cleaned up at the end of each workday Ensure compliance with all job safety standards established by company and all regulatory agencies Conduct Toolbox Talks at the beginning of each shift, direct Foremen or Leads to verify the quality of JSAs daily and submit Near Misses reported by your crews on a weekly basis Monitor and track employee work time as necessary, as well as approve work time as needed Preferred Experience--- Knowledge of installation of large equipment such as switch gear, transformers, power panels, inverters, combiner boxes, etc. Trenching and duct bank installation Wire pull and terminations Module and racking installation QA/QC documentation Equipment grounding DC and AC power distribution Tool and equipment use, such as wire tugger, conduit benders, skid steer, backhoe, etc. Medium voltage termination kit installation Medium voltage pole and equipment installation What you will need to succeed--- High School diploma /GED or equivalent Minimum of 10 years' experience in Solar or Electrical field Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Superintendent An NCCER certified Industrial Electrician or an Electrician State License is a Plus Must be able to pass a DISA D/A test Demonstrated safe and proficient operation of equipment in a variety of work environments Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physical duties (Lifting, walking, climbing, bending and leaning for extended periods of time) Must be able to work in inclement weather (Hot, Cold) including working on high areas What you'll love about us--- MKD employees are the company's greatest assets.
