The Cybersecurity Operations Supervisor's role is to plan, direct and coordinate the design, installation, and monitoring of the Cybersecurity Operations systems and services to ensure the safety and security of the organization's information, users, and technology assets. This includes protection against any anticipated threats or hazards to the confidentiality, security, integrity and accessibility of such information and protection against unauthorized access to or use of such information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to any users or customers. The Cybersecurity Operations Supervisor is responsible for all security operations activities such as logging and monitoring all Heartland Financial assets and services, Vulnerability Management, Threat Hunting, and Security Incident Response.

Primary Responsibilities

* Oversees workflow for a group of employees responsible for: * Asset and Attack Surface Management * Insider Threat Management * Threat Intelligence/Simulation/Hunting * Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) * Anomaly Detection * Vulnerability Management * Security Incident Response * Provides technical supervision for, and guidance to, the Security Operations Team. * Coordinates response for Network and Cyber Security Events. * Plans and executes internal Red Team and Smoke Tests. * Coordinates Threat Hunting activities for Security Operations. * Stays current on evolving tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), anticipates new security threats, stays up to date with evolving technologies. * Assists in defining and monitoring Operational Metrics for the Security Operations area. * Prepares Senior-Level Technical Reports for Executive Briefing Participates in strategic planning for the deployment of information security technologies and program enhancements. * Participates in Security Audits and Assessments. * Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.

Secondary Responsibilities

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Management Responsibilities

* Works with department staff on individual professional development and career development opportunities. Facilitates team members in creating individual goals and development plans that align with the department goals. * Works with Heartland Financials' Talent Acquisition team to identify and hire the most qualified and talented individuals to fill open positions. * Provides information and on-going feedback to department staff regarding expectations and performance, salary adjustments and/or promotions. * Addresses and resolves all performance concerns and issues in a timely manner. * Prepares and conducts annual performance reviews within established deadlines.

Qualifications

* Bachelors Business Administration/Management, Computer Science required or * related field required or * 2-3 years experience as a Network Analyst required and * experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide local and wide area networks, VPNs, etc. required or * equivalent combination of education and experience required * 5-7 years IT Experience to include at least 3 years of experience in the following areas: required * Cybersecurity experience required * Experience in a data center environment required * Experience managing, configuring, and securing servers, routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web Filtering, SaaS Solutions, etc. required * 2-3 years experience managing workflows in an environment similar to this role required * Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, networks, connections, wiring and cabling and network management * Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities * Strong written and verbal communication skills * CCNA-Security preferred * Security+ preferred * Certified Ethical Hacker preferred * CCNA - Cisco Systems * MCSE - Microsoft Certified Solutions
