We Are Hiring: RN-Educator - Employee Education - Part-Time, Days (.5 FTE, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m, flexible Monday - Friday) - AMITA Health St Joseph - Elgin, ILWhat You Will Do: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities planning for an assigned service or population.* Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.* Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.* Identify and/or develop teaching tools and instructional materials.* Keep records of educational activities and prepares reports.What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:* Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.* Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.* BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.* Educator specializing in Childbirth credentialed from the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association preferred.Education:* Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.Work Experience:* Three to five years clinical experience preferred* Experience in Med/Surg/Tele strongly preferred* Experience in ICU/ED preferred* Previous experience as a nurse educator preferred.Why Join Our Team: AMITA Health, one of the largest health systems in Illinois, is comprised of 19 hospitals and more than 230 sites of care.
