Job Description UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Clinic Family Practice for a job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Family Practice - Discipline: Nurse Practitioner - Duration: Ongoing - Employment Type: Staff Work Schedule: 100% FTE, day/evening shift working Monday – Friday, for 8 – 10 hours scheduled between 8:00 am – 8:00 pm with at least 1 in 4 Saturday coverage working 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. Schedule is based on departmental needs and subject to change. You will work at Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI. Pay: - The pay range listed reflects both titles. - Additional components of compensation may include: - Evening and night shift differential - Weekend differential Be part of something remarkable As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: - Grow our Cancer Symptom Management Clinic, which was established to provide expedited outpatient access for oncology patient evaluation with a goal to decrease avoidable emergency room visits. - Collaborate with nursing triage to evaluate and treat patients experiencing acute complications of their oncologic condition and/or side effects of therapy (ie Neutropenic fever, and intractable nausea/vomiting). - Assess patients in the infusion/chemotherapy area who experience an acute change in condition (ie. Education: - If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program. - If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program. Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure If Nurse Practitioner*: - Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND - Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.
