Job Description First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Title: RN MS/Tele Float Location: Madison, WI 53792 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Requirements: 2 year(s) of exp. Willing to float to Neuro and oncology, hard stop. BLS Required. Epic Required. Must have experience working in different Med/Surg units (cardiac, spine, neuro). Description: Evening/Nights, 12-hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30, Monday - Friday and every other weekend. Experience: Must have experience working in different Med/Surg units (cardiac, spine, neuro). Floating experience preferred. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years. Epic experience required – preferred within the last 12 months Telemetry: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Float across multiple departments and specialties caring for complex and dynamic patient populations in a variety of both medical and surgical general care units and intermediate care (IMC) units. Provide high-quality, evidence-based care utilizing critical thinking skills to evaluate and assess patients, recognize and escalate complications, and administer appropriate nursing interventions while demonstrating a commitment to patient and family centered nursing care. Partner with dynamic multidisciplinary teams of nurses, nursing assistants, coordinated care roles, therapists, advanced practice providers, medical teams, and more, honing interpersonal communication skills and effectively delegating tasks as needed. Serve as a mentor and role model with opportunities to be a preceptor for new nurses and students, as well as have the opportunity to be involved in strategic planning efforts, quality improvement, and Shared Governance. Floating - Travelers are the first to float.?Depending on the current staffing needs,?the traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units and/or at different locations within the organization. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary department no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another department in order to complete the contract.
