• Lead the sourcing of assigned commodities to achieve improvements in total cost of ownership, working capital and business financial goals
• Develops, documents and communicates commodity sourcing strategies and action plans that are aligned to the organizations business
• Use a structured strategic sourcing process to drive the activities involved in supplier discovery, supplier selection, supplier development and supplier relationship management.
• Negotiates supply contracts that meet the business needs including terms, pricing, volume agreements, inventory management strategies, competitive benchmarks, performance, and annual cost reductions.
• Works with cross functional team members to develop and manage supplier relationships to obtain the best value in terms of quality, service, innovation and cost. Monitors and manages supplier performance using clearly defined objectives and metrics.
• Works collaboratively with Product Development, Sales, Quality and Manufacturing in sourcing new raw materials and selection of new suppliers to support new growth initiatives.
• Proactively establishes and implements countermeasures to address negative market trends and missed performance objectives.Requirements
  • Bachelors degree from four-year college or university required . MS or MBA preferred
  • 10 years of demonstrated knowledge and experience in sourcing a major commodity group
  • Strong Excel and data management skills. Experience with PowerBI preferred
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, staff, and clients
  • Self-confident, self-motivated professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment
