As part of our continued growth in the US, we are looking for an inspirational forward-looking Leader to join our growing team in Cary, NC.This Southeast Regional Operations Director position is an exciting opportunity to join and lead PM Group's quickly growing business in North Carolina. We are currently executing a variety of cutting-edge projects for our global Life science clients including Cell & Gene Therapy, Biologics, and Pharmaceutical projects - from feasibility through to qualification - for both local and international clients. Together, with our clients and partners, we will deliver projects that improve the everyday lives of people across the globe.This is a leadership level career position and we are looking for a leader with a passion for the Life Sciences Architecture and Engineering (AE) industry, leading others and growing a prosperous business. This individual will be managing and growing our AE Design and CQV business in the Southeast, centered in Cary, NC. The selected Leader will report directly to the US Leadership Team and have overall responsibility for the successful, sustainable, profitable growth and operation of PM Group's Southeast Unit.   • As Leader of the Southeast Business unit, the prime responsibility is to lead the successful, sustainable and profitable growth of our Operation in Cary, NC
  • Be an active member of our Pan USA Regional Leadership team.
  • Direct and plan the operations activities, to achieve stated/agreed targets and standards for financial and trading performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence
  • Maintain and develop PM Group's ethos, organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all employees, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
  • Interface with the other Managers in the business unit on a day to day basis
  • Responsible for the profitable operation of the business unit, putting resources in place to achieve the annual business plan in terms of revenue and profitability
  • Responsible for managing business risk and maintaining a list of key risk areas for the operation
  • Oversee business development capabilities including researching sectors and clients, finding key business opportunities and focusing on resources to secure and win contracts
  • Participate in industry groups and events (ISPE) to enhance PM Group Brand recognition in the region
  • Recruit, select and develop employees to ensure further growth and development of the organization into the future
  • Facilitate development of team - Learning & Development and CPD
  • Ensure the necessary operational support resources are in place and working effectively to support the operations
  • Ensure the management of project execution, with a particular focus on maintaining good commercials performance and the containment of risks
  • Act as Project Sponsor for certain projects
  • Monitor Project Performance monthly
  • Establish and monitor office Health & Safety
  • Plan, implement and maintain office quality certification
  • Plan, implement and maintain office environmental & sustainability certification
  • Ensure the business unit (BU) is in compliance with PM Group's Service Delivery platforms and Quality Management Systems (QMS) Policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Conduct BU annual planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Other support functions as needed Qualifications
    • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or another related qualification
    • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering or a related service sector
    • The ability to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge to show understanding and appreciation of the Engineering Consultancy; particularly in the Pharma / Life Science market
    • Ability to work and prosper in a dynamic and growing environment
    • Excellent leadership, organizational and business development skills
    • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business
    • Able to demonstrate the leadership, energy and determination to manage a Engineering Consultancy business
    • Outward focus with good client awareness and ability to recognize business opportunities and convert them into new contracts
    • A natural forward planner who critically assesses her/his own performance
    • Ability to integrate within a fluid and dynamic environment and work within a diverse range of business sectors
    • Strong work ethic
    • A team player with a track record of working through challenging and complex issues within a collaborative environment
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact at all levels
    • Flexible and willing to travel to meet corporate or project requirements
