Job Description:
The core responsibility of the Senior Manager, Accounting and
Reporting is to prepare and oversee the timely and accurate
completion of the financial reporting and technical accounting
requirements of the Company. This position will have direct reports
and will report to the VP, Assistant Corporate Controller, with
frequent interaction with other senior leaders both within and
outside of the Finance and Accounting organization. This position
is expected to provide future opportunities for the individual to
transition into various other financial accounting positions within
the Company, if desired. *Based in our Cary, NC headquarters and
will offer relocation if necessary* -Core responsibilities include:
Manage and develop direct reports Oversee the preparation and
review of Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 8-K, Form 11-K, Investor
Presentations, Proxy Statements and Registration Statements
Complete the reporting tie-out binders for all SEC and other
filings Complete the quarterly GAAP checklists Maintain compliance
with internal controls over financial reporting Assist in the
quarterly review of SOX controls for corporate departments Review
quarterly earnings per share calculations Perform quality assurance
review of XBRL tagging each quarter Manage the preparation and
review of impairment analyses Ensure timely completion of benefit
plan audits and filings of Form 5500s Develop and assist in the
documentation of standard accounting policies and procedures that
drive standardization, simplification, data integrity and effective
internal controls Perform research and documentation of technical
accounting issues under US GAAP, as needed, including, but not
limited to, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation,
acquisitions and divestitures, impairments, discontinued
operations, hedges (forwards and swaps) and pensions Assist with
secondary offerings or debt refinancing transactions Review
stock-based compensation expense and forecast Drive the
implementation and monitor the ongoing compliance with new
accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements Assist with
special projects, as required Collaborate with other functional
areas on accounting and reporting matters Interface with internal,
external auditors, and other third parties such as
actuariesQualifications 6+ years of public accounting (Big 4 or top
tier; clients must have included SEC registrants), 7 to 9 years of
industry, or a mix of both, including supervisory experience
Strongly preferred experience to include: Significant experience
with SEC filings and reporting Proficient in US GAAP accounting
Knowledge of manufacturing industry Familiar with financial
reporting controls Exposure to complex technical accounting issues
Experience in drafting position papersCPA is requiredBachelor's in
Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredComputer skills to
include: Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, ERP
applications (Oracle and JD Edwards), and financial performance
management tools such as OneStream and Hyperion is a plus. Personal
