Your Impact: The Sr. Project Director will work with sales and management team to pursue new EPCMQV projects in the Biopharma/Life Sciences industry. The position has management level employees on the project as direct reports which may include Design, Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, and Construction. This position is client facing and would be the direct contact with an emphasis on ensuring Safety, Schedule, Cost, and Scope for the full life cycle of the project. You will be responsible for overall Engineering and Construction project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts). Leads project from estimate through close out documentation. Review and or revise and update the project schedule including pre-design, design, engineering, and construction activities; Manage supplier change orders and construction costs. Prepare or oversee the preparation of process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams and process and utility equipment documents. Responsible for delivering the commercial margin on the project. Manages all budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures and controls for project Requires knowledge of construction techniques and equipment in order to develop strategies and manage overall quality and efficient daily production of equipment Insure that the contract specifications and plans are accurate and identify all requirements in compliance with legal codes, regulatory requirements and meet engineering and technical standards. • BS in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• 25+ years' experience as a Project Manager in Construction required in an Engineering and Construction organization.
• Ability and experience to lead and manage projects $200mm or greater
• Strong Safety culture and mindset experience.
• The successful candidate must have recent and broad experience in the design and construction of biopharmaceutical facilities. Types of work should include site development, infrastructure and utility installation (clean and plant), main process areas, finishing and packaging and support facilities to include labs and office buildings.
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Architect license/certification
