Job Description Job Description Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description Join our team as a CNC Machinist where you will be instrumental in crafting precision gear boxes for various industries, including logistics, food and beverage, and bulk material handling. These gear boxes are integral components in systems ranging from grocery store conveyor belts to large amusement park rides. Responsibilities Set up and operate different CNC mills and lathes. Perform code editing at the machine using G&M code. Conduct first and last piece quality inspections. Work off of engineering prints. Utilize micrometers and calipers for precise measurements. On the Vertical Mill: Handle Okuma with Fanuc controls, perform up to 5 set ups per day, and edit programs at the machine. Produce parts ranging from 4 to 26 inches with thicknesses from ½ to 2.5 inches. On the CNC Lathe: Work with DMG machines using Siemens controls, perform shaft work, and manage set up and tooling changes. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes a CNC shop equipped with 1 vertical mill, 1 horizontal mill, 1 hybrid manual lathe, and various milling and drilling machines. The shift hours are from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm or 5:00 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime available after the shift. The facility provides a dynamic and supportive atmosphere for professional development. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sun Prairie, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47000.00 - $68000.00/yr.
