Job Description:

Midwest Transit Equipment repairs school buses and commercial vehicles, making sure to fix it right the first time. We repair, diagnose, and inspect buses of all types to keep them operating and safe. We are internationally certified and repair IC, Cummins, PSI, Braun, and A/C vendors for warranty work. We are looking for an experience Diesel Field Technician who take pride in your work and want to be part of a winning team! Travel to customer locations to service and maintain gasoline and diesel powered buses, light duty truck and medium duty bus. Diagnose mechanical defects and carries out a preventive maintenance program. Inspects and repairs school buses per IDOT requirements. Inspects and repairs complete brake systems

Requirements:

• Services and maintains gas and diesel powered buses, light duty truck and medium duty bus.
• This position requires technical knowledge of light duty truck and medium duty bus maintenance and repair procedures.
• Diagnoses mechanical defects and carries out a preventive maintenance program.
• Services and makes repairs on equipment such as major and minor overhaul of engines, transmissions, brakes, air compressors, fuel systems, ignitions, valves, HVAC and Wheel Chair Lifts.
• Applicants must have basic set of tools.
