Description:Compact Industries, Inc. is a family owned and operated company in St. Charles, Illinois - specialized in contract manufacturing, blending and packaging of powdered food products since 1963.Apply with us today to become a part of our growing team!Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Onsite Gym, Wellness Programs, Non-Exempt Sign-On Bonus.Jr MechanicFirst Shift: 4:00 am - 2:00 pmSecond Shift: 2:00 pm - 12:00 amJr MechanicPURPOSE:Make sure all the lines across the production floor and any equipment necessary is ready to run when scheduled.Jr MechanicRESPONSIBILITIES: Daily:Assemble food production machines or mechanical components according to requirementsInspect machines and conveyors to discover functionality issuesOperate a forkliftTroubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely mannerAssist Machine Operators during production changeoversOperate/run machinery as neededKeep logs of work and reports on issuesKeep tooling and parts area in a clean and orderly fashionFollow all/every Safety and GMP proceduresPerform others duties as assigned such as training others, open rework, packer, stacker, relieving other operators etc.Occasional:Participate in seasonal inventory countsAttending department meeting as requiredLearn and operate packaging machinery. Requirements:Jr MechanicWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to push/pull up to 50 lbsWalking and standing 95% of timeBending, twisting, stooping motions 50% of timeJr MechanicCOMPUTER SKILLS:Basic personal computer skills, copy machine, scannersJr MechanicADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Experience with manufacturing and setting up equipmentKnowledge of manufacturing machineryAptitude in using various hand toolsAbility to follow established procedures, practices and instructionsA strong commitment to all health and safety guidelinesGood communication skills and problem-solving abilityBi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plusAbility to calculate simple mathematical figuresJr MechanicEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferredJr MechanicWORK EXPERIENCE:One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePM18PI177164804SDL2017
