Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available to support
middle school students in Des Plaines, IL. This long-term leave
contract position provides an opportunity to work with a caseload
of approximately 42-50 students, focusing on their speech and
language development within an educational setting. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver direct therapy services to enhance
language and communication skills of students Develop, implement,
and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to
student needs Collect and analyze data related to IEP goals to
track student progress Conduct speech and language evaluations and
prepare detailed reports Collaborate with educators, IEP teams,
parents, and other stakeholders to optimize student outcomes
Qualifications and Experience: Valid Professional Educator License
(PEL) from the Illinois State Board of Education is required;
verification can be completed through the official ISBE portal
Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (preferably CCC-SLP)
Previous experience providing speech therapy services in a school
environment is strongly preferred Strong communication,
organizational, and teamwork skills Work Schedule and Location:
Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. Position based in Des
Plaines, IL, serving middle school students This contract
assignment runs from February 17, 2026, through a pending end date,
offering stability during the duration of the long-term leave.
