Our PRN position is a part time at need teacher to help cover unexpected and planned teacher out times. hours will vary from 5hrs a week to 40 hrs. a week depending on need and your availability. During school holiday breaks and summer hours there is a potential for full time work. This position comes without benefits, but better pay to compensate your time. Duties Works under the supervision of the Director. Responsible for the supervision of an assigned group of children to insure their health and safety. Develop a well balanced daily schedule and an age appropriate lesson plans, including activities to stimulate social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Creates opportunities for enhancing student skills. Plans and implements activities that are consistent with student abilities, interests and educational plans. Assists with school inclusion, inclusion in alternate school settings, the development of appropriate curriculum, workshop/life skills, speech and language, art, music, and adaptive physical education. Provides staff in-services. Maintains data and other records complying with all state, federal, department, and organization regulations Displays enthusiasm and appropriate energy level to maintain students motivation, cooperation, and participation. Encourages student independence in communication, decision making and other activities. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Have a positive attitude and reliable work ethic Be able to work Monday - Friday 8-hour shift Be able to pass background checks Meets or exceeds the qualifications for an Early Childhood Teacher CPR/AED First Aid training within the first 6 months Can develop and implement appropriate curriculum to foster the love of learning Has the physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations. Has previous experience in the early childcare field, 1 year preferred Level 3 or higher on the Wisconsin Registry or willing to complete three childcare courses within 6 months. Positive role model SIDS and AHT trainings completed. Enjoys spending time outside, playing yard games, exploring wooded areas. Must be willing to go swimming once a week with school age children.
