Full-TimePosition Summary:The accounting and Finance Department of
Roosevelt University is seeking to fill a full-time tenure track
position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance
starting August 2025 or Spring 2026. Successful candidates are
expected to:
- Teach six courses each academic year (typically 3 fall courses
and 3 spring courses). New faculty may be granted a course release
to support scholarship activities at the beginning of their
employment.
- Contribute to the field through published scholarship in
quality journals, including pedagogical research.
- Provide service to the Heller College of Business, Roosevelt
University, and the finance profession.Salary Range:

Required:
- A Ph.D. in Finance or related fields. ABDs are encouraged to
apply with the expected completion before the starting date.
- Demonstrated effectiveness and excellence in teaching
undergraduate or graduate level finance courses.
- For appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor, candidates
must demonstrate potential for quality peer-reviewed
publications.
- For appointments at the rank of Associate Professor, candidates
must demonstrate an excellent teaching record and excellent
scholarship as shown through publications that have enabled the
candidate to be successfully promoted to Associate
Professor.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching topics like quantitative finance,
FinTech, and Financial Risk Management.
- Hold Finance Professional Credentials (i.e. CFA, FRM,
etc.).Working Conditions: Traditional classroom and general office
