As a Master Teacher, your salary will be comparable to a public
school teacher, and you will implement Head Start standards for
children, age 3-5, and their families, ensuring that services are
individualized and meet the social, emotional, developmental, and
intellectual needs of your students. As an Early Childhood
Education Center with both COA and NAEYC accreditation and
ExceleRate Gold Circle of Quality designation, youll be proud to be

Staff are be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and

What youll do:
+ Be an active collaborator on the early childhood education team,
leading the development and implementation of individualized
curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and
cognitive development of your students.
+ Provide a learning environment that is safe and inclusive for all
students.
+ Complete applicable screenings and evaluations, and document
results.
+ Develop relationships with parents and families and encourage
their involvement in the early childhood education program.
+ Actively supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of
children in both classroom and outdoor settings.
+ Maintain student portfolios, including timely tracking and
documentation of program activities and assessments.
+ Provide leadership and guidance to classroom staff in the
development, writing, and implementation of daily lesson plans and
classroom routings and transitions; meet weekly with classroom and
other staff to review lesson plans and teaching strategies, and
discuss child progress.
Who you are:
+ You have a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education with an
Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL), including ECE
certification. Current participation in Teach for America PEL
project or a Gateways Level 5 Credential may be accepted.
+ A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant early
childhood group setting required. Successful participation in the
Teach for America Program may satisfy this requirement.
+ You strongly believe that social skills, self-regulation, and
emotional development are just as important as reading and math
readiness in successfully preparing children for kindergarten.
+ You have a warm, open communication style and can easily build
rapport with both children and adults.
+ You are attentive to detail, organized, and self-motivated.
+ You enjoy working collaboratively with a team to reach shared
goals.

+ Schedule: Full-time, salaried; center is open Mon-Fri,
7:30am-5:30pm; assigned shifts will vary.
+ Salary: Range starts at $50,000, offers are commensurate with
experience
