Job Description This position is for a 12-hour night shift, from 6 PM to 6 AM. ALPLA values their employees, work-life balance, personal growth, compensation and sustainability. /n /n What Can You Expect From ALPLA /n /n - Health and Wellness Care Program- Benefits /n - Child Care Benefits /n - Dependent Care Cost Savings Program /n - Recognition programs; Promotional opportunities /n - 401K Retirement Plan and excellent Matching Plan /n - Medical, dental, vision plan /n - Education assistance program/tuition reimbursement /n - Short term, long term and life insurance paid by ALPLA /n - Paid vacation; paid holidays /n /n /n Main Responsibilities: /n Perform installation and maintenance of proprietary ALPLA equipment (e.g. Extrusion Blow /n Molding machines, Stretch Blow Molding machines, Injection Molding machines, /n packaging systems, automated palletizers) and general facility maintenance. /n • Equipment installation and preventative maintenance: -Install and set up proprietary ALPLA equipment -Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal functionality /n and prolong equipment lifespan. -Perform minor modifications and adjustments to machinery as needed to enhance /n performance and accommodate specific production requirements. /n • Performs predictive maintenance: -Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies, such as condition monitoring and diagnostic /n tools, to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime or production disruptions. -Employ specialized technical knowledge to perform predictive maintenance tasks, including /n assessing equipment health, analyzing data trends, and planning maintenance actions /n accordingly. /n • Troubleshooting and repairs: -Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using a /n systematic approach to identify root causes accurately. -Collaborate with technical experts and utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to /n address complex issues effectively and efficiently. -Execute repairs on molding machines, both independently and with technical /n guidance, restoring equipment functionality promptly to minimize production /n interruptions. /n • Facility Maintenance Support -Contribute to general facility maintenance tasks beyond equipment-specific /n responsibilities. -Assist in maintaining a safe and organized working environment by addressing /n facility-related issues and supporting maintenance efforts in shared spaces. -Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure a well-maintained and /n conducive production environment for seamless operations Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. What Makes You Great /n /n - Performing a basic-skilled level of maintenance activities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above - Min High School Diploma or equivalent - 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience at ALPLA or similar industry /n /n Qualifications/Skills: • Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance Safety • Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics • Familiarity with power transmission systems and industrial controls • Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics • Experience with programmable controllers • Knowledge of occupational math skills for measurements and calculations • Problem-solving and team collaboration capabilities
